Established 1997
In 1997, my father and I opened For Keeps. He had purchased our beautiful old building and had originally intended to use it to expand the Ace Hardware store next door. I was working in gift retail in Chicago at the time and mentioned that what downtown Bowling Green didn't have was a classic gift store. His response was that I'd have to come home to BG to open one since he knew nothing about gifts.
28+ years later we are still here on South Main Street in downtown Bowling Green, offering a wide range of gift ideas in our 4000 square feet of display space. With three levels, we can pretty much guarantee that once you come in, you’ll be here a while and you won’t walk out empty-handed!
I love to shop. And shopping for the store is so fun! My team and I search out interesting items that you won’t see everywhere else. And we ensure that new products are arriving regularly so there will be something new to see every time you visit.
But most importantly, we believe good customer service is the key to making you want to come back again and again. Need something we don't have? Ask! Need something gift-wrapped? We do it for FREE! Need something shipped out to a friend? We're happy to do it for you. We want to help you any way we can.
